Identification help

Hi, I'm new to the whole forum thing. Also new to the turtle thing! We just got this gorgeous little Australian river turtle and we were told it's about 7 or 8 months old.
Can anyone please help with what specific type it is, also, does it look healthy?

I'm trying to learn more about my own family, and history in general. But my grandparents weren't the kind of people to learn from, i tried. I've learned more about their lives after their deaths, but only little snippets with no context, and i dont know where else to go to figure it all out
